The Hoarde

The Hoarde is a story deeply rooted in Egyptian mythology, West African folklore and the Greek play Agamemnon. The Hoarde was first conceived as a stage play outfitted with dialogue and narration. By its premiere in 2004, The Hoarde was set completely to popular and dramatic music.

The Hoarde tells the story of a marauding tribe that descends on weaker tribes and consumes them. Driven by a lust for power and posterity, the king of the Hoardes, Osiris, captures Isis but promises to spare her family. When he betrays her, she seeks vengeance.
